Qaiyo (operated by Adam Papp, sole trader) is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the qaiyo-plugins.com website and Qaiyo WordPress plugins, how we use that data, and what rights you have.

Data processing is carried out in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) and applicable Hungarian data protection legislation.

  • IP address (anonymised)
  • browser type and operating system
  • pages visited and timestamps

Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) – ensuring the security and reliable operation of the website.

3.2 Customers (Pro plugin licence)

When you purchase a Pro plugin through our WooCommerce shop, we process the following data:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Billing address
  • Payment transaction data (processed via Stripe – we do not store card details)
  • Plugin(s) purchased and licence key

Retention period: for as long as required to fulfil accounting and tax obligations, and in any case for a minimum of 8 years.

3.3 Licence verification (Pro plugins)

Pro plugins perform licence checks against the qaiyo-plugins.com licence server upon activation and at regular intervals. During this process, the following data is transmitted to our server:

  • Licence key (license_key)
  • The URL of your WordPress site (site_url – stored in hashed form)
  • Plugin identifier (plugin_slug)

This data is used solely for verifying licence validity and delivering automatic updates. End-user data managed within your WordPress site (e.g. bookings, testimonials, UTM parameters) never reaches Qaiyo servers.

Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

3.4 Free plugins (WordPress.org)

Free plugins are distributed exclusively through the WordPress.org repository. All data processed by these plugins remains entirely on the user’s own WordPress server; Qaiyo has no access to that data.

3.5 Support requests

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address and name for the purpose of sending marketing communications.

Legal basis: freely given consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email. Upon unsubscription, your data will be promptly removed from the mailing list.

Note: Our newsletter system is currently being set up. Information about the specific data processor (email platform) will be added to this Policy once the system is live.

8. Data security

We protect your data using appropriate technical and organisational measures against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction. Site URLs stored on the licence server are held in hashed form.
